Cambly doesn’t require any teaching certificate, bachelor’s degree, or prior teaching experience. There are no minimum work hours, nor maximum.
If you’re a student yourself but you’re fluent in English and want to make some money, Cambly might be the fit for you.
First Future is an online English teaching job provider that pays you for your minimum hours whether or not a student shows up, or regardless if a student books a class with you. These guaranteed payments and income will help you budget more effectively.
While they do accept non-native English teaching applications, they are explicit in that they hire native English speakers with priority so this might not be the most ideal option for online English teaching for non-natives.
They don’t require teaching experience but a bachelor’s degree and TEFL certificate are preferred.
For non-natives, a clear speaking regional accent is a must as the goal is to make it easier for students to understand.
As a First Future teacher, you will be working on a fixed schedule which means that you have guaranteed hours and a guaranteed minimum income.
For example, if your project was for weekday evenings, 5 – 8 p.m., then, as an absolute minimum, you would receive your base rate for 15 hours each week. At First Future, you will receive payment even if nobody booked a lesson during your work hours, or if students don’t show up.
In addition to your fixed schedule, you can also register for additional Flexi-classes to increase your income. You can add or change your availability for Flexi-classes yourself daily.
On average, group lessons are for 45 minutes, so there is one lesson per hourly time slot, with a 15-minute break. One-on-one lessons are 25 minutes on average, so there would be two lessons per hourly time slot.
The majority of fixed projects are during the evening on weekdays, between 17:00 – 23:00 (GMT+8), and all day at weekends.

To work with Bibo Global Opportunity, you will need a working computer, a skype account, and a stable internet connection. Both native and non-native teachers can be hired and applicants don’t need prior ESL experience. Perfect for any non-native who wants to get a remote online teaching job.
However, a major requirement is Proficiency in English, and certificates to prove it are a plus. But don’t worry, even if you don’t have a certificate, all applicants are required to write an essay to prove fluency.

With Fluentbe you choose when you work which gives you a pretty flexible schedule. The difference between Fluentbe and other platforms is that with Fluentbe you’re teaching adults, unlike other platforms which work with children.
While pay rates are not directly listed on their website, other sources list the pay rate at $10 per hour.
TOPICA Native is an online English speech tutoring platform that connects language learners with English-speakers with innovative services including the first English learning program via Google glass and the method of adaptive learning.
Being a native speaker is generally required with TOPICA Native but they make exceptions for applicants with exceptionally high proficiency levels. Even if you’re not a native, you can get a chance at earning a spot at a remote ESL teaching job.
Teaching experience is a bonus but you don’t exclusively need it. You need to have a good internet connection, a web camera and audio equipment to conduct your lessons.
Teachers are free to choose as many classes as they want based on flexibility and free time. There are up to 16 daily classes lasting from 8 AM to 11 PM (GMT+7) with each class running for 45 minutes.

If you don’t have a strong regional accent, a strong internet connection, and you are available to meet with students on their schedule (including weekends), non-native English teaching jobs with WaijiaoYi are worth taking a look at as one of the best ESL Platforms to teach English. WaijiaoYi utilizes the dual teaching method (a foreigner and a Chinese-native teacher) to conduct English classes in smaller Chinese cities.
They are looking for teachers that are passionate and energetic in teaching young learners, with strong moral values and discipline, and with the willingness to become a committed teacher working for young English language learners.
Premier TEFL’s main message is that they work with dozens of non-native English speakers every year to bring their teaching dreams to life, whether as an online English teacher or as a classroom teacher abroad.
The only requirement for becoming a part of their team is having a TEFL certificate.
Other than that all teachers sign a contract for working 9 months for a total of 22.5 hours/week. Classes last for 45 minutes and are held Wed-Fri – 5pm-7pm and on Sat-Sun – 8am-12pm and 2pm-6pm (CST).
That is my list of the best ESL platforms out there based on requirements and conditions. What is important to note here is that these platforms don’t have an explicit requirement to work with native speakers only.
